Re-See: Dior's Fall/Winter Collection

Dior's FW collection for 2011 is absolutely amazing. But it shows that the Parisian fashion label definitively came under John Galliano's influence: Quillings, drapery and crochet work with leather are comforts which Dior didn't create in the past. So, thumbs up for the FW collection although I have to say that Dior already created  fur-jackets, fur-bags and fur-collars ad nauseam in the past.

Today, Free People announced their new March 2011 Catalog online. Like always, I was really curious about it. Result: The look is as hippie-like as usual, what is not bad at all. I got a video of Free People's new collection for you, so you can visualize the articles of clothing better. Maybe the sound is a bit too melancholic, but the video shows fp's new lookbook in a fancy way. I like it a lot. What's your impression of the new collection?

John Galliano fired by Dior

After John Galliano got suspendend as Dior's Chief Designer, the Brit finally got fired due to his anti-Semitic comments.

Dior decided to sack Galliano with immediate effect. The reason for his decision: Recently a video cropped up, in which drunken Galliano made some anti-Semetic statements in the Parisian Bar "La Perle". This incident already occured last december but it's revealed only now. Moreover, Galliano and curator Geraldine Bloch literally were at loggerheads, while John verbally harassed her with anti-Semitic comments on February 23, 2011. That gives a deep insight, Galliano.
